Cyanotype Blueprints, The Whole catalog (as of November, 2016)

NOTE: These are now on hiatus. If there is sufficient interest, i may bring them back. I have some in stock, so if you're interested in something let me know and I'll check.

These are hand made cyanotype blueprints on either sturdy watercolor or thinner but historically accurate vellum paper. Each is unique, and likely to feature small imperfections.The blue will fade if left in the sun. If this happens, it can be darkened by placing it somewhere dark with good air flow to re-oxidize the ink. Alternatively, hydrogen peroxide, available from grocery stores, will instantly oxidize the ink and restore it to its full hue. These are pieces of art made The Old Fashioned Way.

Postage fee for up to a dozen prints: $10 US, $18 elsewhere. Make sure to select the proper postage: US or Elsewhere. Again, this one rate of postage is good for up to a dozen prints. If you want more than a dozen, contact me and I'll work out the proper postage.

Cyan 1 Nuclear Lightbulb	Vellum Paper: $7.00	A NASA diagram of a Nuclear Light Bulb, an advanced nuclear rocket that uses incandescent uranium plasma to irradiate hydrogen gas to provide thrust. NOTE: There is a mis-spelled word on the blueprint. It was mis-spelled by NASA way back when; it's shown as it was published.
Cyan 2 Early Mercury Capsule Concept	Vellum Paper: $7.00	A very preliminary sketch of what would become the Mercury capsule. This image is taken from a scan made from the actual hand-drawn (by Maxime Faget) original. Note that this design is much more like the Discoverer capsule than the final Mercury capsule; the heat shield is in front, not behind. So the astronauts couch would rotate 180 degrees so that he would not be subjected to an eyeballs-out re-entry acceleration.

Cyan 11 "A-11"	Vellum Paper: $7.00	painting created in 1946 at White Sands, under the direction of Werner von Braun and by deBeek, the artist responsible for paintings at Peenemunde during the war. The design is typically considered to be the "A-11," a hypothetical three-stage rocket capable of putting a V-2 rocket into orbit. It was described here. In order to get best-quality prints of the A-11, it must be processed for more than four times as long as the other images, and consequently costs a little more.
